He confronts Link in Rito Village, but to what end? Revali, Champion of the Rito, openly expresses his opposition to supporting Link. Zelda does her best to facilitate the fabled "ceremony of legend," as suggested by Daruk, but her own insecurities are laid bare. Link is chosen to be the appointed knight to Zelda, princess of the royal family of Hyrule. After the ceremony, they congregate at the castle's garden where Mipha asks Zelda for a favor.to use the Sheikah Slate's Camera for a special picture. Link, Mipha, Daruk, Revali, and Urbosa are called to Hyrule Castle and formally appointed as Champions by the king.

After Urbosa formally accepts, the two companions take a nighttime stroll in the desert, and Urbosa shares cherished memories from their shared past. Zelda tracks down Rito warrior Revali and enlists him to pilot the Divine Beast Vah Medoh. Link remembers the final EX Recovered Memory after listening to the Champions' Ballad, the Unfinished Song by Kass's teacher that Kass later completes. Link is able to visualize the first four EX Recovered Memories after listening to a Song that is sung by Kass to honor one of the Champions that piloted a Divine Beast when Link completes a Main Quest related to the Trials that Champion faced. The Champions' Ballad DLC Pack adds five EX Recovered Memories that take place before the other Recovered Memories. Completing the "Captured Memories" Main Quest will also unlock a post-credits scene after defeating Calamity Ganon. Zelda then tells Link through telepathy that he has Recovered all of his Memories of him and Zelda and that it is time to defeat Calamity Ganon. Recovering this final Memory completes the " Captured Memories" Main Quest. After visiting the 12 locations from the photos in the Sheikah Slate album and regaining the Memories associated, Impa will show Link a picture that depicts the location of his final Memory of his past with Princess Zelda. In addition, Link recalls a Memory during each of the four Divine Beast Main Quests and recalls a Memory after obtaining the Master Sword. These photos were captured by Zelda 100 years ago. The majority of Link's Memories are Recovered by visiting the locations shown in the 12 photos found on the Sheikah Slate's album.
